Berk Simsek was born on April 20, 1989, at Istanbul Samatya State Hospital. While his paternal family has resided in the Fatih district of Istanbul for seven generations, his maternal family hails from Iznik, Bursa.

After completing his primary and secondary education in Bostanci, he graduated from Istanbul Commerce University with a degree in International Logistics in 2014. Immediately following his graduation, he completed a six-month English language program at Anglo-Continental in Bournemouth. He then successfully applied for an investor visa, securing both work and residency permits, and opened a souvenir shop in the Sovereign Shopping Centre in Boscombe. In 2016, driven by a longing for his homeland, he returned to Türkiye.

He enrolled in the Business Administration program at Anadolu University in 2016 and graduated in 2021. Sparked by his passion for history, he gained admission to the History department at Istanbul University in 2017. He is also currently a final-year student in the Justice program.

For a period, he supported charity organizations by contributing financially through participation in fundraising bazaars. Later transitioning into the tourism sector, he has been working continuously for over a decade in the operations department of private tourism agencies.

He completed his mandatory military service in 2019 as an Air Infantry Private at the Air Force Recruit Training Brigade Command in Kutahya.

His political involvement began in 2010 when he started supporting the Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi (Republican People's Party - CHP) Kadikoy Youth Organization. From the establishment of the Kozyatagi Neighborhood Representation office until 2021, he actively supported neighborhood initiatives, serving a term on the neighborhood executive board in 2017.

On February 8, 2021, he resigned from the Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi alongside Muharrem Ince (The presidential candidate with 30.67% of the vote in the previous election). He subsequently joined the Memleket Partisi (Homeland Party), which was founded on May 17, 2021. He personally established the Kadikoy District Branch and assumed office as a founding member of the district executive board. After being elected as the district vice president responsible for youth policies, he formed and managed the Memleket Partisi Kadikoy Youth team. During the executive board meeting on April 28, 2023, he was unanimously elected as the Memleket Partisi Kadikoy District Secretary. In 2024, he ran as a candidate for the Kadikoy municipal council in the local elections. At the Memleket Partisi 2nd Ordinary Istanbul Provincial Congress held on November 17, 2024, he was elected to the Istanbul Provincial Disciplinary Board. Following this, on July 2, 2025, he was chosen as the Vice Chairman of the Provincial Disciplinary Board, a position he held until the party dissolved. Despite being a Konya Congress Delegate, he chose not to attend the final dissolution congress.

Having joined the Atatürkçü Düşünce Derneği (Ataturkist Thought Association - ADD) Kadikoy Branch in 2011, he served as an active member of the Social Issues Research Commission in 2024 and 2025. He is also an active member of the Polar Stars Disadvantaged Women and Children Education and Empowerment Association, as well as the Bosphorus Intellectuals Society.

In addition to his career and political activities, Berk Simsek has been actively writing articles since 2010.

Defined as the separation of state affairs from religious affairs, it guarantees full freedom of religion and conscience, ensuring respect for all forms of personal belief.

According to Atatürk’s understanding of reformism, institutions that no longer meet the contemporary needs of society must be dismantled and replaced with modern, progressive ones. Rather than static change, this principle targets a dynamic, continuous innovation and non-stop progress to catch up with contemporary civilization.
